The Arkansas Rice Depot needs your help. As an independent, faith-based non-profit organization, all funds for our programs must be raised through contributions of individuals, churches, corporations, special events and agency contributions. Every year, people who believe in this ministry and want to help feed hungry Arkansans give from their heart. Will you help? There are many ways to help.

Donate Money
Every monetary contribution to the Arkansas Rice Depot helps continue our many programs aimed at ending hunger in Arkansas. Examples of how your donation will help include: $15 buys a new backpack and fills it with a weekend's supply of food for our Food For Kids program. $30 feeds one child one meal per day for a month. $100 buys one month's worth of food for an average school in the Food For Kids program. $300 pays the delivery cost to take a month's supply of food to a regional warehouse for distribution to local pantries.

You can now help feed hungry children in Arkansas by donating online! We can safely accept your Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover through our SSL secured server. Donate Food
Organize a food drive in your school, church or civic group
Hunger never takes a holiday or goes on vacation -- you can make a huge impact anytime by conducting a food drive. It is simple and easy. We've compiled "Six Tips For A Successful Food Drive" to give you an idea of what is involved. Whether you want to hold a drive in your neighborhood, office, school, church or civic club, contact us at (501) 565-8855or via e-mail at endhunger@ricedepot.org and we will assist you with additional information and materials you can use.

Items needed most by Food For Kids include: canned soup, spaghetti, peanut butter, cheese crackers, granola bars, individual packages of cereal, canned chili and beef stew, tuna and other canned meats, fruit cocktail and pudding cups, juice boxes, breakfast bars and snack cakes.

Items needed most by Food For Seniors include: canned soup, canned chili and beef stew, tuna and other canned meats, oatmeal, bread, flour, canned vegetables, peanut butter crackers, pasta, cheese crackers, breakfast bars and cereal, fruit cocktail and pudding cups, dried beans, snack cakes, juice boxes and powdered or evaporated milk.

Leave A Legacy
Convinced there will always be a need to invest in good nutrition for Arkansas' most vulnerable citizens, the Board of Arkansas Rice Depot has initiated a trust fund to strengthen the long-term work of Arkansas Rice Depot. The trust fund will be built with estate gifts from donor bequests, charitable trusts and annuities and endowments.

Volunteer
Volunteers help in the warehouse, repackage food, bag cereal, label cans, deliver food to senior citizens, help with special events fundraisers and serve on the Arkansas Rice Depot Board of Directors. Spread The Word
Invite us to speak to your church, civic group or at a community meeting in your area. We love to tell the story of the Arkansas Rice Depot and will be happy to speak to your group or display program information at your church outreach or mission fairs. We often display our popular Simple Pleasures rice mixes and gift baskets at alternative gift markets host by churches and communities.
